Have You Ever Tried to Count a Mummy's Eyelashes?
The new Bowers Museum exhibit, Secrets of the Silk Road: Mystery Mummies
From China highlights over 150 ancient objects from where East meets
West, including mummies never before displayed outside of Asia. You'll
be amazed at how well they've been preserved! This exhibit opens up a
window to the past that you won't want to miss.
Students from colleges and universities can take advantage of all the
Bowers Museum has to offer with walk-in tours and Docent led gallery
talks, while the sketching of museum artifacts is encouraged during
regular hours. Plus, the student discount allows general admission for
only $9!
And while you're here, why not explore other exclusive Bowers exhibits
as well? Check out the festive costumes in Masters of Adornment: The
Miao People of China, intricate carvings in Ancient Arts of China: A
5000 Year Legacy, and wild photographs in Where Masks Still Dance: New
Guinea. Whether focused on the Art History, Archaeology, Fine Arts,
Cultural Anthropology, History, Humanities, Liberal Arts, or Sciences,
the Bowers is perfect for all students throughout Southern California.
