If you are interested in becoming an officer for the 2011-2012 academic year, please email us ASAP at la.bruin.geog.club@gmail.com. Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publicity. You can even suggest your own position!
As an officer, you'll have the ability to tailor the club and its events to your interests! You'll get to network with professors, grad students, and other professionals in a relaxed and less-intimidating environment. Best of all, you get to meet and build friendships with other geography majors!

Coming up next week we have a very enthusiastic speaker, Zaki Mustafa, from LA Department of Transportation coming to speak about his job, opportunities created by being an ITE member, and current transportation projects and plans. Zaki is the chief of operations for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) and also the International Vice President of ITE. He has been working in the transportation industry and in ITE for over 30 years. LADOT looks for a wide range of students, including those who know GIS software, so this is a great opportunity to network and learn more about the industry!
